Bright Jen

Jen brings thoughtfulness, awareness, and words to what children feel inside. She helps children slow down, understand their emotions, and express themselves clearly and confidently. Through her gentle strength, children learn that their voice matters—and that speaking up is powerful.

Bold Ben

Ben moves when it matters most. When something feels off, he doesn’t ignore it—he trusts that inner signal and takes action. He helps children understand that they are allowed to step away, create space, and protect themselves with confidence.

Courage in Action

With his sword pin resting over his heart, Ben represents bravery anchored in doing what is right. His Time-for-Action watch reminds children that some moments require immediate courage, while his courage compass points him—and them—toward wise, protective choices. Jen’s green pendant necklace symbolizes calm, truth, and inner knowing. Through her star notebook, she brings clarity to thoughts and emotions, and with her signature goggles, she helps children see situations more clearly—what is safe, what is uncertain, and what is not okay. Together, they guide children along a clear Courage Path—learning when to act, when to speak up, and how to trust themselves every step of the way.

OUR IMPACT

Designed for Lasting Impact

to Support the Adults

Whether at home, in classrooms, or in the community, this book meets children where they are and gives adults the confidence to start meaningful conversations.

Parents & caregivers

Because children deserve safety, trust, and open communication.

This book helps families start body-safety conversations in a calm, age-appropriate way. It gives children shared language so they feel safe coming to you.

Schools & Educators

Because learning environments should be safe, supportive, and empowering.

The Stoplight Squad™ offers a simple framework that supports social-emotional learning and personal safety. It fits naturally into classroom instruction.

Churches & Community Groups

Because protecting children is a shared community responsibility.

This book provides a gentle, values-aligned way to teach children about safety and boundaries. It supports care and accountability without fear-based messaging.

Counselors & Child Advocates

Because every child deserves a voice and protection.

The Stoplight Squad™ is a child-friendly tool for discussing safety, feelings, and boundaries. It helps children express difficult experiences more clearly.

STOPLIGHT SYSTEM

GREEN. YELLOW. RED. CLEAR GUIDANCE FOR EVERYDAY SITUATIONS

A Simple Safety System Kids Remember

The Stoplight Squad© uses the familiar traffic-light system children already understand to help them recognize safe, confusing, and unsafe situations. By pairing feelings with clear actions, kids learn how to respond—and when to speak up—without panic or shame.

GREEN — GO

Safe touch and safe moments feel good.

Green means safe touch and safe behavior. It feels okay, involves no secrets, and comes from trusted people, like hugs or high-fives.

01

YELLOW — SLOW

Pay attention to feelings that feel unsure.

Yellow means something feels confusing or uncomfortable. Stop and tell a trusted adult so they can help you figure it out.

02

RED — STOP

Unsafe touch or behavior is never okay.

Red means something is not okay. Say no, get away, and tell a trusted grown-up right away.

Stoplight Squad’ is a resource parents should embrace and read with their children. During my 30 years as a State Court Judge, I saw firsthand how trauma impacts a child’s ability to thrive. This book equips parents to help children recognize ‘yes’ and ‘no’ touch—and what to do to protect themselves.”

“Stoplight Squad” is a resource parents should embrace & read with their children. Sadly, the prevalence of children who experience sexual abuse or assault is extensive. As a State Court judge for 30 years, I saw the impact this trauma had on children’s inability to thrive. This resource guides parents to assist children to recognize a “Yes” and a “No” touch & what they should do to protect themselves
